EXCLUSIVE:Ethiopia’s lethal striker Salhadin Said has confirmed that
he will not be available for the Africa Cup of Nations game against
Mali to be played in Addis Ababa on the weekend of 10th October.
Speaking exclusively to Soka25east.com from his base in Egypt Sala rued his absence from the game but wishing his team mates all the best after he was ruled out with a caf injury as Al Ahly won the Egyptian Super Cup beating arch rivals Zamalek.
However Sala alluded to the fact that he might be away for only 10 days before starting training despite the Al Ahly team doctor Ehab Ali being quoted as telling coach Juan Carlos Garrido that Sala would be out for six weeks.
“I have embarked on treatment for my calf injury and the doctor has told me i might take 10 days before i embark once again on training.It was not as serious as we first thought and i am happy after the second diagnosis.As things look i will not be able to make it in Ethiopia’s game against Mali before after treatment i will need to recuperate meaning i will miss the game”

Salhadin Said joined Al Ahly in a lucrative 5 year deal from another Egyptian club Wadi Degla, he has been instrumental in Ethiopia’s rise scoring crucial goals.
