ATLANTA (CBS46) -Gwinnett County police say they have arrested a man and his girlfriend in connection to the death of a taxi driver in Tucker on Sunday.
Police say 53-year-old Aidarous Abdella of Lilburn was dropping off Elizabeth McKonnen, 29, of DeKalb County. Abdella was driving McKonnen to a home on the 1300 block of Branch Drive in Tucker so she could meet her boyfriend, Henok Basore, 34 of Norcross.

Basore reportedly met McKonnen outside the cab and the two got into an argument. That's when police said Basore pulled out a gun. According to GCPD, Abdella tried to get in between the arguing couple and was then shot by Basore.
Abdella died at the scene.
Abdella's co-worker spoke highly of him after the shooting, saying that he was a good driver and had done nothing wrong.
Police said Basore fled the scene after the shooting.
Basore was tracked down several hours later and charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. Basore's girlfriend McKonnen was also arrested and charged with making false statements and obstruction.
