Ahly's newly joined Saladin Said put his name on the hall of fame after winning the Egypt Super Cup championship
Striker Saladin Said became first Ethiopian player to win an Egyptian football championship after he participated in Ahly's victory of the Egypt Super Cup on Sunday, against classic rivals Zamalek.
The 25-year-old lanky frontman joined the Red Devils on a five-year deal last May as his contract with Wadi Degla expires in the summer, the club said in a brief statement on their official website.
Said scored 13 goals in 21 appearances for Ethiopia since making his international debut in 2005.
He started his career at Saint George in Ethiopia before moving to Wadi Degla in 2011. He also had a loan spell with Belgian side Lierse last year.
