Jeddah police have arrested 20 Ethiopians for instigating and leading a mob of a large number of expatriates of different nationalities at Jeddah’s King Fahd Road in Al-Sharafiya district Thursday afternoon. The area is close to Mahmoud Sa
eed (Oasis Mall).
Police said the miscreants provoked illegal expatriates to lay a siege to the Deportation Center.
In a written statement, Jeddah Police spokesman Nawaf Al-Bouq said the police received a report about the troubles at 8.30 a.m. The road was blocked by a large numbers of illegals for about 20 minutes.
The troublemakers tried to prevent the police from reaching the scene.
