30 Ethiopian players set for Nigeria travel

Ethiopia coach Sewnet Bishaw will not be dropping any players ahead of the crucial game against Nigeria on Saturday.

Sewnet will have a travelling party of 30 players as he reiterated it would be good to give all of them the exposure and to let them get the experience ahead of next year’s Chan to be held in South Africa.

Among the players travelling will be six foreign based players including the 24 home based players that will depart from the Bole International Airport on Thursday morning via a chartered Ethiopian Airlines flight direct to Calabar, Nigeria.


EFF President Junedin Bashah told supersport.com all travel modalities were complete ahead of their travel.

"Everything is ready and we are only waiting to travel to Nigeria early on Thursday morning.We are not giving any pressure to the team or the technical bench at all they have done a great job and we will accept any results from Calabar," Junedin told supersport.com.

According to Fifa rules federations are required to submit 23 players but Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) has decided to allow all players to travel and foot the remaining bills.
