South Sudan 0 - 2 Ethiopia – Afraha Stadium, Nakuru
The 'Walya Antelopes' from Ethiopia have convincingly beaten much improved South Sudanese national football team -- 'Bright Stars' at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Tuesday afternoon to seal the quater-final slot in the GOtv Cecafa Cup 2013.
The result pushed them top of Group A on 7 points with the second game involving Kenya and Zanzibar to come at the same arena.
Sewnet Bishaw’s team were held to a goal less first half and only managed to take the lead through Yousuf Yassin, 7 minutes after second half resumption while a late, Biruk Kalbore strike sealed South Sudan's fate.
The loss vanished South Sudan's outside chance of reaching quarters as best losers. Ethiopia drew goal less with Kenya and beat Zanzibar 3-1 while South Sudan lost their opening two games to Zanzibar 2-1 and Kenya (3-1).
