Mali, Ethiopia in five-goal thriller-watch all goals

(Super Sport) After beating Ethiopia in Addis Ababa last weekend, Mali saw their winning run coming to an end when they lost their return match 3-2 at home on Wednesday.

The Malians won by a comfortable 2-0 margin on the weekend, however, this time around Ethiopia turned the corner.

The hosts were the first side to find the net after Bakary Sako scored in the 31st minute.

Five minutes later the visitors equalised through a goal by Omod Okwury.

Towards the end of the first half, the South African-based Getaneh Kebede gave the Ethiopians the lead when he scored in the extra time of the first stanza .
         
                
             
   



It was 2-1 at the interval.

In the second half, the visitors saw their goalscorer, Kebede, being shown his marching orders and that allowed Mali to find an equaliser.

They equalised in the 68th minute through a strike by Mustapha Yatabare.

As the game approached the dying minutes, Abebaw Butako found the net for the Ethiopians to give them a well-fought victory.
