KUWAIT CITY, June 27: The Criminal Court presided over by Judge Adnan Al-Jasser has sentenced an Ethiopian woman to death by hanging for murdering her sponsor the day before the latter’s wedding.
According to the case files, the Ethiopian housemaid beheaded her 25-year old sponsor in the family house in Jaber Al-Ali area a day before the victim’s wedding and ran away.
However, officers from Criminal Investigation Department managed to apprehend the suspect at Kuwait International Airport before she took a flight to escape from the country.
During interrogations, the suspect confessed that she had first stabbed the victim while she was asleep. When the victim woke up, the suspect slashed her neck using a cleaver until her head fell off from the body.
