Ethiopia will host Nigeria's Super Eagles in the first leg of the 2014 Fifa World Cup play offs on Sunday October 13.
The Ethiopian football federation (EFF) have said the match will take place at the National Stadium in Addis Ababa at 1500H CAT.
EFF Secretary General Yigzaw Bezuayehu said, "We have traditionally hosted all our home matches on Sunday and our game against Nigeria will not an exception as we will play the first leg at the National Stadium on Sunday 13th October ."
Ethiopia have already begun preparations with 24 players already reported to camp but the number is expected to be trimmed to 23 by coach Sewnet Bishaw as foreign based players are expected to be included in the final squad.
Meanwhile EFF is planning on two international friendlies against Ghana and Cameroon to act as warm up matches ahead of their do or die match against Nigeria. However Yigzaw reiterated that they had not confirmed the matches but they are in talks to the respective federations.
